Last night around 8 p.m., during the slugfest known as Duke vs. Uconn, a bottom line update ran across CNN Headline news as I was flipping on a commercial break. "Daylight savings time leaps forward at 2 a.m. for the nation, except for parts of Indiana, Arizona, and Hawaii." blurred across the bottom of the screen. I could not believe my eyes. I don't live anywhere too close to Indiana and maybe I should have known this small factoid but I was in utter disbelievance. I hit the roof. Feelings of rage, sadness, and dumbfoundedness overcame me like waves battering an Oregon shoreline. My roommates were shocked at my lacking knowledge and also my inexplicable reactions. May I simply ask why. What in the world is wrong with Indiana. In reality, they switch between the Eastern and Central time zones through the year. It just is absolute craziness. If I were ever elected President, it would be federal law to adhere to DST. I am infuriated.
In Other News...
a) I am very worried about Matt Clement. His velocity is down 3-4 MPH and his arm was "dead" earlier in the spring. I have a friend at ASU and he has gone to quite a few spring games and has seen Clement pitch three times, and he says that Clement's mechanics look "terrible". He's falling off the mound awkwardly on nearly every pitch and his slider looks really flat. If Clement's spring numbers (which I realize are not too important, thank you) continue into April, we could be in a spot of trouble. We don't need to fall behind Houston and even St. Louis early in the season. I am just a bit nervous.
b) I am formulating a "manifesto" of sorts (for lack of a better term) of my political ideas/views/thoughts. A friend of mine was curious if I could write what I thought down, so I felt it a good challenge. If anyone is interested in a copy, let me know. Of course, I'll have to charge a small fee.
c) My shoulder is coming along nicely. My range of motion is increasing everyday. The strength isn't coming back as fast, but I suppose that's to be expected considering they punched 3 holes through my musculature.
d)
Sienna Miller or
Monica Bellucci or
Keira Knightley or
Bridget Moynahan ? I really can't decide.
