So I think I might be turning a corner of sorts. I had a nice long workout today that felt pretty decent afterwards. And during/after it my head was much more clear. I have come to realization that maybe, just maybe, I don't completely screw up everything I get my hands into and I have had this severely downtrodden look at everything. I am good at some things. Im smart enough to get by. Im a capable enough person to be a good friend. And I know that, with some effort, I can get back to where I want to be. So this isn't going to be a miraculous revelation or an instantaneous reformation obviously. But I've got 2 1/2 weeks left here. 2 months in Carbondale over the summer. I can do this and I will do this...and I want to thank all of you (yeah, you know who I mean) for the words of encouragement.
In Other News...
a) There is a super hot girl who works at the walgreens up the street. When I picked up my dad's prescription tonight she rang me up. Ive talked to her once before and she seems very sweet. But I have a feeling she's paid to be bubbly and nice. And let us not forget the cardinal rule of David's dating life...the hot girls he wants to ask out are always taken...or lesbians.
b) Cubs won a great game tonight. I really enjoyed the commentary and Chip didn't piss me off to no end for once.
c) Randy Johnson is simply amazing when he's on. I saw a replay of the game today and he was just simply...perfect. Unreal. 97 on the black in the 9th inning just isn't fair.
d) I really want to go to Giordano's before I leave Rockford again. Anyone want to go with? I really don't know if any of my Rockford buddies read this even. Let me know.
e) Do not see the movie "Troy". If you disobey this advice, the gods will not be happy.
